In the heart of Sydney's Central Park, Altogether's water treatment facility welcomed another group of students from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) as part of an ongoing collaboration. Led by Dr Carmen Wong, our dedicated Head of Asset Management, this visit not only showcased our cutting-edge water treatment technologies but also reflected Carmen's personal commitment to inspiring the next generation of leaders in the field.UNSW tour

Carmen's passion for education extends beyond her role at Altogether. As an advocate for empowering young minds, she regularly engages with students on the side, sharing her knowledge and expertise to nurture their interest Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Having Carmen at the helm of the tour underscored Altogether's dedication to fostering growth and empowerment through education.

Accompanying Carmen was Deshveen Chandran, a recent graduate within our company. Deshveen's presence by her side served as a testament to Altogether's investment in developing talent from within. As a graduate embedded in our business, Deshveen embodies the spirit of learning, innovation and growth that we strive to instil in all our employees.

Under Carmen's guidance and alongside Deshveen, the students embarked on a journey of discovery, delving into the intricacies of our water treatment processes. With Fiona providing expert guidance and Pierre offering academic insights, the students gained a comprehensive understanding of the symbiotic relationship between industry and academia.

As the students witnessed firsthand the eight-step treatment process, from anaerobic processing to membrane filtration, they were inspired by Carmen and Fiona's passion for their work. Beyond the technical aspects, the tour ignited a sense of purpose and possibility in the students, motivating them to pursue careers in water sustainability.

As the visit drew to a close, the students departed with newfound knowledge and motivation, eager to make a difference in the world. For Altogether, this collaboration with UNSW and Carmen's personal involvement with students represents a commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders in water management.

Altogether stands as a beacon of innovation and education - we are shaping a brighter, more sustainable future for generations to come.
