Sustainability is often thrown around as a buzzword, but for Altogether, sustainability encompasses our efforts for innovation and our commitment to help the world become more sustainable. Our utility services make a difference in the lives of communities, but it’s also our goal to broaden our reach beyond our offerings to share our knowledge and expertise with different communities on how they can live more sustainably to preserve our natural resources and the future of our nation.
Through educational content, promoting sustainable services, and hosting workshops across the country, Altogether actively supports sustainable education.
Knowledge is a powerful tool, and we believe it is our duty not just to support our customers, but to share resources with everyone on the importance of education and sustainably, and how to live more sustainably by making small lifestyle changes. We regularly share content about the importance of energy efficiency and how to conserve power, utilising smart meters and other tools to monitor usage, as well as water-saving tips to reduce water bills and prevent the wastage of clean water.
As renewable solutions such as solar panels and rainwater tanks can also be incorporated into our utilities, we also regularly share information about how communities can become more self-sufficient.
Our power and utility services make a difference in the homes and businesses of over 500 communities in Australia. Through the use of embedded energy networks and our recycled water systems, we help reduce unnecessary wastage of valuable resources, helping to save on bills and making a difference to the environment. However, not everybody knows what these utilities are, or that they even exist. At Altogether Group, it is paramount that we spread as much awareness as possible, as we believe that education and sustainability go hand in hand.
By connecting to our services, communities can contribute to sustainability across the country to support the future of our nation. To encourage this, we focus on sustainable education by teaching how our services work in simplified and easy-to-understand terms, highlighting the difference that individuals can make by switching to sustainable utilities at home and in the workplace and showcasing the real-world benefits.
To further support local communities beyond providing our services, we are committed to offering as much value as possible, which is why we host regular educational workshops, sessions, and training. In addition to providing education to residents, we engage collaboratively with strata managers, committee members, building managers, and other stakeholders, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to directly support diverse communities. This is of critical importance as educating stakeholders in communities can lead to the implementation of new utilities and facilities that can benefit residents, for example, integrating solar technology to reduce household bills and increase energy security, and incorporating EV chargers in the community, which can support The National Electric Vehicle Strategy in increasing accessibility and encouraging EV adoption.
Our approach to education and sustainability not only benefits the lives of those who live in our communities but also encourages sustainable habits and lifestyles, which can support the longevity and well-being of our nation’s resources.
