The purpose behind the safety award
At Altogether Group, safety is not just a value; it's a way of life. The Safety Award serves a crucial purpose: to raise awareness of Workplace Health and Safety and to celebrate the outstanding efforts of both employees and contractors in enhancing our safety performance.
Nomination procedure: easy and inclusive
Nominating someone for the Safety Award is open to everyone – employees, contractors, and team members alike. We want to hear about the small wins that often go unnoticed but contribute immensely to our safety culture.
Lets hear about the little actions, big impact
- Safety performance: Recognising excellence in safety performance, including low accident rates, near misses, and injuries. (Contractor Monthly WHS performance checklist)
- Compliance with regulations: Acknowledging individuals who consistently adhere to safety regulations and standards, ensuring the workplace is up-to-date with applicable laws and safety protocols.
- Safety training: Commending those who implement comprehensive safety training programs, ensuring all team members are well-educated on safety procedures, hazards, and best practices.
- Safety culture: Highlighting individuals who foster a culture of safety throughout the organization, promoting safety awareness, encouraging the reporting of unsafe conditions, and fostering open communication about safety concerns.
- Incident reporting and investigation: Recognising prompt reporting, thorough investigation, and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Safety innovations: Applauding individuals who implement innovative safety measures or technologies that contribute to a safer work environment.
